Dr Zak’s High Protein Cinnamon & Raisin Bagels Review

As you know I am big lover of Dr Zak’s products. I’m also a bigger lover of their nut butters (which you can see from the half empty jar above). They recently added high protein cinnamon & raisin bagels to their range. They already had multi-grain bagels which you can read about in my previous review, Here .

Now, I have an issue with regular bagels. I mean I love them, I could eat bagels every day but they just don’t fill me up at all. So adding extra protein is a great idea to keep you fuller for longer, without having to slave at the cooker cooking up a protein source.

Each bagel contains a whopping 24g of protein, with 30% less carbs than regular bagels. These macros were fantastic for me as I was carb-cycling at the time of trying them, so it meant I could still eat my favourite food on my low carb day. The bagels have a lovely taste and smell, and would be fine with just coconut oil or butter. But I always like to add my fats in the form of nut butters, so I decided to pair it with Dr Zak’s apple & cinnamon peanut butter and 1/2 a banana. Honestly so good, I have such a sweet tooth so this hit every spot for me. This meal actually kept me full until lunchtime.

The bagels also freeze well, which is a plus.
