So a few weeks ago Organic Buko kindly sent me their range of coconut jams to try. The jams are gluten-free, vegan, GMO-free and naturally sweetened with no refined sugars. Buko Organic jam is also the first to be certified organic by the Soil Association.
The flavours are: Natural, which has an almost caramel taste. Choco Latte, which is great for using as a chocolate flavoured alternative in baking. And Sea Salt, which is my personal favourite and perfect as a topping for oatcakes.
It’s really hard to find chocolate flavoured spreads which are healthy and nut-free for Amber, the Organic Buko Choc Latte one has been perfect for her. We even made a delicious Choc Banana Strudel . I have so many recipe ideas, so can’t wait to get baking.
The jams have lots of uses, like using directly as a spread on toast or pancakes. In smoothies, as a porridge topping (the Sea Salt one on sweet proats is unreal). Or in baking, my current obsession. Keep an eye out for some more recipes.
