Up & Go Kids Review

Breakfast time can sometimes be the most stressful time for a parent. I like to think that we have a pretty good getting ready for school routine and Amber always gets a good breakfast inside her before school. However on a weekend the routine goes out of the window, which isn’t great when Amber has to head to drama on a Saturday morning.

With this in mind Amber has been trying Up & Go for her weekend breakfasts. They are a nutritious breakfast drink made of wholegrain oats and milk, which also contain a range of vitamins and minerals. The drinks are also school lunch box compliant.

It was pretty easy to get Amber to try these given that they come in her favourite flavours, strawberry, chocolate and banana. Obviously the chocolate was the obvious favourite. I tried a few sips of each and the banana won hands down for me (they also do an adult range by the way which I need to try).

At first Amber wasn’t sure about having oats in the drink but then said that she really liked it and was soon asking for another one the next morning. I think these are a great idea for fussy kids or if you are short on time in the mornings, a fuss-free nutritious breakfast on the go.

Obviously, like most cereals or smoothies these aren’t sugar-free (less than 5% added sugar) so it’s important to incorporate it alongside a balanced diet.

I wouldn’t just recommend these for breakfast, they are convienient on the go or for between meals.
