Ideas For Giving Your Health A Boost

I’m sure that by now you will know how much of a lover I am of healthy living. – I am passionate about my health. That’s why, I thought that today, I would share some advice for all the best ways to give your health a boost.

During the winter, we often turn to comfort foods and reduce the amount of exercise that we are doing. However, that shouldn’t be the case. We should make an effort to keep our bodies healthy and happy throughout the year.

To help you give your health a boost, here are a few of my favourite ideas:

Drink more water

We all know how important water is to our health, and yet very few of us actually drink enough of it.  Our bodies are made up of over 65 percent water, which means to be healthy, we need to be getting enough fluid each day.

Have you ever considered the fact that if you drank more water, a lot of general aches and pains would disappear? The truth is, a lot of minor health problems can be alleviated simply by drinking more water.

I personally aim to drink around 2 litres of a water, this will usually be regular water or coconut water which is great for hydration and a great source of potassium.

Keep your fat percentage in check

Often, we focus on our weight instead of our body fat percentage. While being a healthy weight is important, it’s also crucial that your body fat is not too high. Otherwise, you’re putting yourself at risk of all sorts of health problems, including diabetes.

The amount of fat you should have on your body depends on various factors. These include you height, age, activity, and gender – there is no set amount when it comes to body fat, we are all different. You can check out your body fat percentage at https://www.healthstatus.com, to see if you’re counted as being in a healthy range.

If your body fat percentage is too high, despite the fact that you live a healthy lifestyle,  you could consider cosmetic treatment. You may not like the idea of having a cosmetic procedure, but if your body fat level is too high, it could be something to consider. There are various methods to choose from, many of which are non-invasive, such as Fat Freezing. Even though theses types of treatments are non-invasive, their success rates are incredibly high. So if you want to budge that stubborn fat, without surgery, these treatments could be ideal.

Get your five a day

Our bodies can only be healthy if they get all of the vitamins and minerals that they need. Far too often, we don’t feed ourselves the right foods, leaving our bodies lacking essential nutrients. To give your nutrient intake a boost, aim to ensure that you always get your five a day.

Make fruits and veggies your favourite snack foods, as well as part of your main meals. For breakfast, top your cereal with fresh fruit and flaxseed or serve your eggs on a bed of baby spinach or kale. For lunch have a jacket potato or a bowl of hearty vegetable soup. For dinner fill your plate with as many veggies as you can. I always make sure that 1/3 of my plate is vegetables, including green leafy vegetables. Adding fruits and veggies to every meal, will ensure that you’re getting all the right nutrients.

These are just a couple of my favourite health boosting ideas; there are lots of other ways to increase how healthy you are.
