May’s Favourite Health Reads

For the past few years I have bought roughly 1-2 nutrition, health or beauty books a month and I thought it would be good to share a few favourites every month.

1. Sports Nutrition for Women by Anita Bean. This book is a fantastic read for us ladies, as well as covering sports nutrition and simplifying macros it also covers pregnancy health which is a great benefit. The book is really easy to understand answers complicated questions in an easy to understand way.

2. Body Beautiful by Lucy Mecklenburgh. I actually picked this up from the library after seeing some positive results from friends and fellow bloggers who have been following her Results with Lucy plans, and lets face it, Lucy has a gorgeous body! This book is a great all round book but the stand outs for me are the easy healthy recipes which I always skip to. This is definitely a book I’ll be purchasing.

3. The Optimum Nutrition Bible by Patrick Holford. This was a Christmas present from my boyfriend and probably the best nutrition book I own. It literally covers everything. This guy knows his stuff and this is a great book if you are new to nutrition or if you just want a guide to support you through studying. Out of all the books I own, this one is my must-have recommendation.
