As you may know from my posts on Instagram I have a love/hate relationship with sleep. This is largely due to suffering from anxiety and panic attacks. I’ve tried numerous prescribed medication including beta-blockers and sleeping tablets which just gave me awful side-effects.
I started reading up on Magnesium deficiency and realised that my symptoms were very similar to that of a person who is lacking Magnesium.

So I started as I always do by increasing more Magnesium in to my diet, mainly by snacking on nuts. And then by having 2-3 Magnesium baths a week. I use BetterYou Magnesium Bath Oil and add 100ml to my bath and then bathe for at least 20 minutes to get the full effects. It’s amazing for soothing tired legs and feet and I ALWAYS sleep well after. The advantage of the bath oil is that your body absorbs the Magnesium quicker as it skips the process of having to be digested.
I am also taking a Magnesium supplement which is a 150mg Magnesium Bisglycinate. This is the best form of Magnesium as your body absorbs all of it. One to avoid is Magnesium Oxide as your body only absorbs a small percentage of it. However Oxide is perfect for anyone with problems with digesting supplements/food.
I have noticed a huge difference in my overall health. I’m having solid 8 hour sleeps, no anxiety at all and I haven’t had a panic attack in months. I generally feel less stressed too.
