December can be stressful, especially when it comes to choosing a Christmas gift for friends and family. Kids can be especially challenging because if you’re like me, you want to limit the amount of plastic toys/products that you buy them. My 9-year-old loves magazines and one of our favourite things to do together is read ours together. However it can easily cost £10 to buy a magazine for her and I which I can’t afford to do every week, so it is great to have an alternative which is affordable and gives us access to all the magazines that we love.

My favourite magazine is Psychologies which is on the pricier side, so having access to it on Readly is great for me. There is everything from mum & baby magazines, celebrity gossip magazines and foodie favourites. It also encourages my daughter to read more rather than spending all her free time watching YouTube.

What I also love is that Readly has teamed up with Disney to bring 80+ Disney magazines and comics to the app, something which my daughter was really excited about. She loves Disney and the magazines that she likes aren’t always available at our local supermarket, so this is such a great addition to encourage her and other kids to read more at home and on the go. Most schools ask kids to read for 15 minutes every evening, so my daughter loves to choose a title to read from the Disney collection before bed.

I enjoy reading the Good Food magazine before bed to give me recipe inspiration for the days and weeks ahead. The variety of titles on offer is amazing and there really is something for everyone.
