Lifestyle: Walking In A Winter Wonderland, Manchester Review

I was recently invited down to the V.I.P Press Launch of Winter Wonderland Manchester at Event City. As well as fellow bloggers there were also a host of local celebrities in attendance including stars from Hollyoaks, Coronation Street and Manchester City footballers.

This year is the first time that Amber really understands Christmas. On the day of the launch Amber had been unwell but what better way to take your mind off things then by visiting a Christmas wonderland? This was our first year visiting and it was far more magical than we could have imagined. The event which is the UK’s biggest indoor theme park is aimed at children and adults and is indoors so there’s need to worry about the frosty December weather. I invited Amber’s friend along too and they both had the best time ever.

The event is unlike anything I have seen before. Your ticket gives you 4 hours of unlimited fun including all rides, a circus, live shows and a walk around Santa’s house and a meet and greet with the man himself, before meeting some real reindeer. There’s an additional £3.50 charge if you would like a present from Santa.

This year Basil Brush is included in the live show for the first time. And there’s also a Pip Ahoy! beach which was one of Amber’s favourite parts of the whole event.

There are also rides for adults and a large seated eating area which includes German sausage, burgers and a selection of drinks, however you can also bring your own food if you want to save on costs. The atmosphere is truly amazing and even as a 32-year-old I was fixated with everything around me. And as everything is well spaced out the kids didn’t have to queue for anything except to see Santa and the staff do a great job of keeping everything organised.

I’ll definitely be back!
