One of the great joys of travelling is seeing the natural wonders of other nations. And there are certainly some countries in the world which are more blessed than others when it comes to the natural riches that you can discover. Though there may be many more countries that you would like to add to the list yourself, here, we are going to look in more detail at a few of the most beautiful nations on Planet Earth.
China
You may not automatically associate China with being a country of great natural beauty – its huge megacities often grab a lot of the headlines. However, in such a huge area of land, there are bound to be a wide array of landscapes from the deserts of the west to the lush national parks of the south. You also have winter tundras up in the north and mountainous landscape dotted all over the country.
Costa Rica
Though it is only a very small country, Costa Rica uses every inch of space to pack in all types of natural wonder. You can spot everything from bubbling volcanoes to pristine beaches during your time here. A good place to begin your adventure is at the Residence Inn San Jose Escazu in the capital city. Because it contains a range of different environments in its small area of land, it is also home to a diverse array of species of plants and animals.
Slovenia
A tiny and often overlooked country when it comes to natural scenery is Slovenia. Though there is only one national park in the country, there is plenty to see there. With its church in the centre of an island, Lake Bled often dominates the photographs of this country. But its sister body of water Lake Bohinj is arguably more beautiful, backed by mountains as it is.
Vietnam
The long, thin country in Southeast Asia has plenty of natural wonders stretching from the north to the south. Nearby to the capital of Hanoi, you can see the surreal cliffs of Ha Long Bay which jut up from the water. Travel down to Ho Chi Minh City and you can head off on a tour of the scenic Mekong River. And you have only just scratched the surface when it comes to the scenery which you could enjoy in the centre of the country.
United States of America
Like China, the USA often gets associated with its cities – and for good reason. But if you didn’t see at least one or two of the national parks, you would be missing out in a big way. Leading the pack are Yosemite, Yellowstone, and Glacier, though there are plenty of others which at least should enjoy an honourable mention.
Of course, there are plenty of other countries we could talk about, but these five have hopefully helped to spark off your wanderlust, get back out into the big, wide world and discover some natural beauty just like it is doing for me. Just make sure to pack your camera so you can fill your friends and family with envy!
