As a food blogger one of my main obsessions is cookbooks. One of my favourite books at the moment is Tom Daley’s ‘Daily Plan.’ Which is a mixture of family-friendly recipes, workouts and tips on mindset. Out of the books currently on the market, this is probably one of the best out there. It’s home cooking favourites with a twist, with meat-free options and favourites like sausage casserole and sticky toffee pudding. The book is so good that I found myself using it 3 days in a row at the start.
My favourite recipe has to be the Vegan Thai Style Curry, which uses tofu. This is incredibly easy to make and the homemade paste stays fresh for up to 2 weeks, which is handy as you’ll definitely want to make it again asap.
Another favourite was the Sausage Casserole with root mash. Another classic and the root mash just compliments the rest of the dish perfectly.
The macros and nutritional information for all the meals can be found at the back of the book. So if you are tracking your macros this will come in handy. This is another addition which many healthy cookbooks don’t always have.
Moving away from food, the book also contains a range of daily workouts, including tips to get you moving. Tom suggests incorporating 20 minute HIIT (high intensity interval training) in to your daily life, and to build fitness in to your life by walking and cycling. He also discusses common food and fitness myths. However my favourite parts of this section of the book are his fitness life hacks
“When you catch yourself worrying, do something positive and uplifting.” Tom Daley
I have seen this in the shops and flicked through, I may need to go back now as I really fancy having pastes ready to go in my fridge!
Definitely get it, it’s really good. I still need to try some of the dessert recipes.
